Contact Me:

Sam Schad works in the area of Social Security Disability (SSD) claims. He has overseen the steady expansion of the firm’s SSD caseload since first focusing on disability claims in 1995. He manages all aspects of the firm’s SSD practice- from initial phone calls to the briefing of cases for Federal Court review.

In 2005, Sam was privileged to sit with 20 other non-attorneys for the very first test offered by the SSA- becoming one of the nation’s first ‘non-attorney representatives’ eligible for direct payment in disability claims. This privilege was previously reserved only for attorneys. The program requires participants to undergo a background check, have a bachelor’s degree, and participate in continuing legal education regarding ethics and updates in disability law. He has been a member of the National Association of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives since 1996.

Sam is a tireless advocate for the disabled. He volunteers time among numerous medical support groups in the region, and consults with physicians on how to best present their patient’s impairments to the Social Security Administration. Neurological disorders and diseases are of particular interest to him in recent years. Every claim provides new knowledge on how to best advocate for his clients suffering from degenerative and chronic conditions.

He is available as a guest lecturer on the topic of disability in general, how to prepare for a transition from work to disability, and issues related to management of Social Security claims in a small office environment.
