George has deep roots in Southern Indiana. He grew up in Sellersburg and graduated from Silver Creek High School. He graduated from Ball State University with a degree in History (1999) and from Washburn University School of Law in Kansas (2003).

In his off time, George enjoys music, American history, and restoring his 113 years old home in downtown New Albany.
